How not to have a baby!

A women from Ohio was rushing to hospital in her car to give birth to a baby.  It wasn’t the ideal situation as she had to make a few stops along the way.  The first stop was at a service station where she delivered the baby by herself, the second stop was when she was pulled over by the police and ordered to get out of the car at gun point and the last stop was eventually at the hospital emergency department.

So how did all this come about!

The pregnant woman had decided it was time to go to the hospital when she started to have contractions and her water broke.  She put her other two children, a 3 and a 4 year old in the back seat of the car and started to drive herself to the hospital.  About 10 minutes into the journey the baby couldn’t wait so the woman pulled over and parked at a petrol station.  A customer alerted the service station attendant that there was something wrong with the woman in the other car so he went to investigate.  The attendant asked the woman if she needed some help but she groaned once and before the attendant could say or do anything else the baby had already come out.

The women caught the baby, put him on her chest then wrapped him with a jumper she had on the front seat of the car.  She gave the attendant a ‘I have to go’ look and pulled out of the service station and headed to the hospital.

The service station attendant then phoned the police to give them a heads up on the women’s situation but there was a mix up involving the license plate numbers and the police thought that they were after a stolen car.  The women was still trying to get to the hospital when the police spotted the car they were after.  The police officers in two cars boxed the women’s car in and once they had stopped they ordered her out of the car a gun point.  The women yelled to the police that she had just had a baby and opened the door of the car to give them a look.  Once the officers had seen the new born baby with umbilical cord still attached they escorted the women to the hospital emergency area.  Both mum and the baby were fine and the 3 and 4 year old children had a great story to tell about their little baby brother at his 21st birthday.
